vitamin water hearts russell james

Nothing says “Look! It’s new! It’s exciting! Do you love it?” like a launch party. Unfortunately for me (and for you) I’ve had no time to organise one for this site (brand spankin’ new as it may be). I have, however, been able to squeeze out the time to attend the launch party of another equally beautiful piece of work, being Russell James’ new book sims for free origin. You won’t find pictures of food in this book though, oh no. Instead, there are models. Models and fashion and more models…

the vitamin water bubble

It is 6:54pm when I leap off the train at Circular Quay station, a Google Maps printout clutched in my hand. Down, down, down the escalators I go and out through the boom gates. A glance to my right, and there it is. “The party is going to be in a giant bubble!” said Suze, the night before download german for free google earth. And so it sat, illuminated by everchanging lights in the Customs House forecourt.

“And why,” I can hear you asking “is a foodblogger at the launch party of a book that has nothing to do with food?” A sensible question. The answer, equally as sensible “It has happened because the launch party was sponsored by Vitamin Water”.

Vitamin Water instagram fotos herunterladen. You know the stuff. Brightly coloured bottles, fruity flavours, cheeky blurbs on the labels. Back when I was working as a marketing intern at an undisclosed-luxury-cosmetics-company, I drank a bottle every day. This was post my coffee-embargo, you see, and I needed something bright and sweet to pep me up and get me through the usually-hectic mornings.

But I digress whatsapp backup google drive. Here I am, at a true-blue A-list launch party, complete with celebrities, and I’m talking about my uncaffeinated self. See there, that lady in the background on the far left? It’s Michelle Bridges from the Biggest Loser. And in the background, splashed with a pink light? Russell James photography. And see here, in the front of the picture download the flurmap? That’s a cocktail made of Vitamin Water and vodka. A whole row of them in fact. Far too many for me to try without food. Which reminds me…

scallop ceviche

The food. It was spectacular. And nothing like the celery sticks & air usually associated with the beautiful and photogenic. Take, for example, this scallop sashimi with a gingery, spicy topping herunterladen. Slippery, succulent & sweet. I was oh-so-carefully forking my way through this when murmurs of “Kristin Davis?” and “Geoff from 2dayFM?” and “Peter Morrissey?” came to my attention. It appears certain foodbloggers are as in tune with celebrity as they are with their food picasa gratis downloaden mac.

And the food kept coming. We had, unwittingly (and ingeniously) managed to place ourselves at a table that was right near the food entry point. The upside? Full plates of hot food at regular intervals bigo live. The humourous side? Seeing a cool, calm and collected posse of waiters being made to maintain their composure under extreme conditions as a gaggle of cameras zoomed in on the contents of their tray.

In the melee, I managed to drop beetroot on my white dress (ohno!) which led me to contemplate the pros & cons of having it in the burger to start with (pros: ohlordy herunterladen! the flavour! the sweetness! cons: beetroot on dress). The arancini balls were consumed in a palate burning all-in-now-then bite. Crunchy before being searingly hot is the only way I could describe them, my tongue being in too much shock to register much flavour.

Just as we were wondering about dinner, a wicker basket of beef stew on mash appeared. The boys in the crowd were delighted. As was I, actually, despite being not-a-boy geburtstagsvideo zumen kostenlos. Slow cooked, unctuous meat. Creamy potato. Bitter microherbs. Love!

But not more love than was had for these grilled lamb cutlets. I need to figure out how they were made so lovely and tender and not-at-all lamby. Ideas? I’m certainly willing to test them out & report back if you have them.

And before we left, having consumed much more than I cared to photograph, we grafitti’d the board. And oh… look at that! Someone has a new url…

@Mr. Taste: Many thanks 🙂 and yes, I did code it myself, so if you spot anything that needs a-fixin’ please let me know (too many eyes are never enough).

@Betty: Oh thanks! I thought about scraping it out onto a napkin before taking a bite, but knew I’d wipe my red fingers on my dress as the night went on.

@Y: Really? Is it so? I’m glad that’s fixed then 🙂

@Steph: Thanks dearie! And yes, it came out easily in the wash (which is doubly good, because said dress is in high rotation).

@Reemski: The box is gone! (and thank you!)

@Belle: *chomp!* I’m so glad that’s how it came off 🙂

@Howard: Many thanks dude (and also for doing the once-over check for me before it went to air).

    @stef: Thank you! 😀
