tsukiji

June 29th, 2010

The last time I was this cold, I was wandering around Tokyo with the Bean.

“I’ll go to the electricity museum with you if you come to the tuna auctions at the fish markets with me.” I had bargained.

“5:30am?!” she said later, upon realising the extent of her committment.

But there we were, before daylight broke, with frozen fingers, toes and noses.

Far better than being on the bus to work in the same condition, don’t you think?

2 bites more on “tsukiji”

  1. 1 mademoiselle délicieuse says on :

Yes, the prospect of everyday work doesn’t have quite the same appeal to it. Well, unless maybe you work at the tuna markets…

  2. 2 JT @areyouhungary says on :

Oh, Tsuijki is so worth the early morning and the cold. My favourite is the ridiculously fresh sushi breakfast you can have afterward!

wanna tell me about it?
